But it’s a new war we’ve got going on,” says Omar. “I wrote the hook while literally watching the hills on fire while visiting family in Borneo. The fiery Papertoy beat allowed me to rap about huge problems facing the world like logging, corruption, unsustainable oil palm and destruction of the reefs. I wanted to make an ear worm and a call to arms: a song that you can think, rage and bop to.”
